Todays GOLDEN PIG Award goes to Two School Workers Suspended in Fake Attack:

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. Two school employees who staged a fake gun attack on a group of students during a field trip have been suspended, according to school officials.

During the last night of a weeklong trip to a state park, staff members convinced 69 sixth-grade students from Scales Elementary School that there was a gunman on the loose. One official has said that the exercise was intended as a teaching tool. (This is just one more reason for parents to pull their kids the hell out of the public schools. For God’s sake, stop screwing with our children’s minds, or in the words of a PINK FLOYD song: “Leave our Kids Alone”)

The students were told to lie on the floor or hide underneath tables and stay quiet. After the lights went out, some of the children began to cry. A teacher, disguised in a hooded sweat shirt, pulled on locked doors.

Teacher Quentin Mastin and assistant principle Don Bartch were suspended for unprofessional conduct and neglect of duty because of the staged attack, (If it had been one of my kids that they scared the hell out of, you can bet your life that I would have gone to the school and beat the crap out of those two).

“This was not a good experience,” an understatement made by Alisha Graves, a parent whose son went on the trip. “Those kids were crying, and they were terrified.” (Ya think?)

Bartch, who was present, has said that the scenario was intended as a learning experience and lasted only five minutes. (Hey you friggin moron, I don’t care if it only lasted five seconds, scare your own kids if that is what you are into, you have no right to screw with the minds of other peoples children!)

BREAKING NEWS OUT OF ISRAEL:

Factional Fighting Between Hamas and the Fatah Pushed the Fragile Palestinian Government Closer to Collapse and Briefly Drew Israel into the Battle.

Early this morning, in the deadliest battle of this round of fighting, Hamas gunmen fired five rockets at the Israeli town of Sderot near Gaza. One of the rockets hit a house, seriously wounding an Israeli citizen.

Israeli military officials said Israel has no intention of being drawn into the fighting between Hamas and Fatah, however, Israel did close Karni, the only route for cargo into Gaza. The closure means Gaza will soon run out of fuel for its power plant and electricity to most of the Gaza strip could be shut down by Wednesday morning, according to Abdel Karim Abdeen, head of the Palestinian Energy Authority. (If the Palestinians would put as much energy into working toward peace and taking care of their people as they put into procuring weapons to wipe out Israel, they would be so much better off).
