I received the following from one of our Archbishops in
Our federal government is once again preparing to over step their bounds and usurp more power that does not belong to them, pushing us closer to a totalitarian police state.
The Constitution clearly states that as individuals, we are a “citizen” of the
This IMPORTANT distinction was one of the primary causes of our Civil War. The Federal government (at that time) had no legal rights to deal directly with citizens of the member States (nations). Slavery was neither the cause nor even ONE of the causes of the Civil War Near the end of the war it became a propaganda rallying point by
So, I must ask, what are YOUR members of YOUR State government doing to PROTECT the rights of your sovereign State and its citizens against the NEW effort of the federal government to usurp control of State Driver’s Licenses away from the legitimate State authorities? There are at least seven States that have indicated that they will NOT co-operate with this anti-Constitutional usurpation of State authority. Is your State standing in opposition to the federal government’s plans or is it quietly slowly going along and betraying its citizens?
Keep in mind that it is the responsibility of each of the individual member States to issue valid and fail-safe citizen identification records to/for its citizen members – it is not that of some foreign entity (i.e., the Federal government).
Besides, the whole manner in which the Feds have undertaken this endeavor will create GREATER abuse of identity-theft in the future. Then what, MORE FEDERAL CONTROL? Not to mention the fact that last year, I had read that eventually our driver’s licenses are to become North American Union Licenses and ID cards.
Please urge your State leaders to STAND against the Federal government on this issue and please urge each of your friends and relatives, no matter where they live to do like wise. We don’t need a POLICE STATE where every where we want to go, we have to be stopped by GESTAPO like police demanding: “YOUR PAPERS, PLEASE!”
