THURSDAY THOUGHTS

WHERE ARE WE HEADED?

Over the past few days, I have been doing posts trying to get folks to understand where we are headed as a nation. Well, I just had a guest this evening. The visit lasted for three hours. My guest was a young man who I met eleven years ago when he first immigrated to this country from the Ukraine when he was all of 6 years old. Andre is a wonderful Christian young man of 17 now, who is working part-time evenings at a local hospital as a health care nursing assistant, while going to high school during the day.

He stops by about once a month to discuss philosophical and theological topics with me, as well as to ask my advice on various personal matters that may be on his mind. Tonight, we got on the topic of where America is headed, and as I spoke with him, I couldn’t help but remember back to how things were when I was a kid and how we got to where we are today and what our future holds. Here is what I came up with:

Back prior to the assassination of President Kennedy; the Democratic Party was far different from what it is today. Even though I have always been a conservative, I supported Kennedy, even though I was still too young to vote, because he stood for personal responsibility and every thing Conservatives stand for today. During his inauguration “The Torch Has Been Passed” speech, Kennedy said: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” He was man who inspired others to rise up, roll up their sleeves and pitch in to help America become greater then she already was. He inspired people to take control of their own destiny.

But following his bloody assassination in Dallas, Texas, something happened to the Democratic Party, it suddenly began to turn farther and farther to the left, embracing all sorts of liberal humanist ideas. It was a systematic destroying of ALL of the institutions ordained by God that have helped to maintain stable societies from time immemorial, and replacing those institutions with the belief that there is no right or wrong, no good or evil. The secular progressive humanist liberals believe and teach that we are all gods in our own right and whatever we, as individuals, feel is right or wrong is what counts. We are told that if it feels right then we should do it.

These institutions are marriage, sexual relationships, the family, respect for life and the rearing of children. Through “no-fault” divorce the liberals have effectively destroyed the sanctity of marriage which has led to promiscuity and adultery, playing musical beds with one sex partner after another. This has led to all sorts of sexual relationships being embraced today, and the new definition of “Family” can mean what ever our hearts desire.

The legalization of abortion has led to disrespect for human life and to a loss of self-respect. This was soon followed by the likes of Dr. Benjamin Spock and others who put forth the liberal garbage of banning all forms of corporal punishment of wayward children, because to spank and discipline a child would shatter their precious little egos and diminish their creative abilities. As a result, we have produced at least two or three generations of rude, disobedient and foul mouthed kids who have little or no respect for their parents or authorities. By breaking down the institutions that hold a society together and demoralizing the people, it becomes much easier to lull them into a false sense of security and enslave them.

At one time, we were a nation that placed God first, family second, neighborhood third followed by country. Since 1963-64, the Democrats have managed to turn us from a nation of people who believed in self-reliance, personal responsibility and self-respect into a nation of people who now have a welfare mentality who care little about others. Our children are taught in school to put aside their feelings for family and country and to put the good of the world above all else. The majority of Americans today would rather stand in line with their hands out, looking for the next freebie instead of standing up for themselves. This is very evident by looking at the way so many Americans go flocking after all of the presidential or congressional candidates who promise them all sorts of government cradle – to – grave nanny care.

What the people tend to ignore, is that with each government hand out, we have to pay more and more in taxes and we also have to give up more and more of our rights and freedoms in the process, and they turn a blind eye to what the true intent of the liberals is; ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.

If anyone doubts this, stop and consider the following: the majority of Americans have been demanding that our borders be secured and that no amnesty be granted to the 12-30 million illegals that are already here, so why does our president and congress keep refusing to listen to the voice of the people? The answer is clear, they are for open borders as they push for the “North American Union” which would effectively make the US, Mexico and Canada all one with a single currency. President Bush has denied this over and over again, claiming that it is nothing more than ‘conspiracy’ theory. However, on the first Friday of October of 2007, I happened to be channel surfing and came upon the Larry King show. He had, as his guest, the former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, who came right out and admitted that it was true and that it was eventually supposed to include the whole Western hemisphere. Then another such union was to take place in Asia setting up three blocs of unions, Europe, the Western Hemisphere and Asia which would then come together under one controlling body.

The second indication that a one world government is being actively planned is the fact as we all know; words have meaning, so think about this for a moment: if the politicians wanted to have government health care for all Americans, how come they keep calling it “UNIVERSAL” health care instead of “NATIONAL” health care? If the politicians want pre-k for all children in America, how come they keep calling it “UNIVERSAL” pre-k instead of “NATIONAL” pre-k? You see, NATIONAL health care and NATIONAL pre-k would clearly mean that it would cover everyone in America whereas on the other hand UNIVERSAL health care and pre-k denotes the world.

One more thing to consider, back in December it was announced that the FBI plans to institute program that is expected to cost billions of dollars. It is to be a vast data base on everyone in the US. This data base will contain everyone’s DNA, bio-metric data, fingerprints, voice samples and even data on how they walk. The FBI claims that this data base will make it easier for cameras to pick individuals out of a crowd. Ask yourselves if such a database is necessary and for what reason would they need to track us in such a way.

And, think about this, Starting in February 2009, all analogue broadcasting is to come to an end as all broadcasters will be required to go digital. The federal government claims that it needs the analogue radio and broadcast frequencies. Why? Well with all those radio frequency tracking chips that the government is planning, they will most certainly need more radio frequency bandwidth.

When one stops to consider the evidence, can we really ignore the obvious?
