Interview with a Nightmare:
Dumbocrat Presidential candidate, Hillary Rotten Clinton put forth her mandate for that would require every American to purchase health insurance (how does she even think that such a thing is even constitutional?). She says that this is the only way to achieve Universal Health Care. When asked about the possibility of punitive measures against those who refuse, Hillary said:
“At this point, we don’t have any thing punitive that we have proposed.” (So, first, who is this WE? And second, does this mean that punitive measures are going to be proposed at some point in the future?), “We’re providing incentives and tax credits which we think will be very attractive to the majority of Americans.” (Ah yes, she plans on “bribing” the masses).
Hillary has a habit though, of glossing over two very important aspects of her wonderful warm fuzzy health care plan. The first is the fact that her plan would be mandatory. She said that she “Could envision the day when you will have to show proof to your employer that you’re insured as a part of the job interview—like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination.” But, she stated that such details have to be worked out with congress. (Screw the American people; it is all about what the government wants for us!). The other aspect that she so conveniently fails to mention is how much this is going to cost the taxpayers every year, one estimate that I heard is to the tune of fifty billion a year.
Then of course, there is the other question. Will we retain our right to choice of doctor and the hospital of our choice? If she follows what she proposed when she was the First Biatch, then I think not.
