Things that are wrong with America Today:

"JUST HITTING ANOTHER
BRICK WALL"

I had no intention of posting the following (I had planned to make a post about New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson's excursion to N. Korea) but earlier today, I received and email from Layla Gonzalez who has the Blog "The Hill Chronicles", and who also started a yahoo group called "Dhimmi Apologists", of which I am now a member.

Any how, Layla sent out an email stating the following:

I am asking you all to be brave. Here is a big challenge. I would like all our
members to begin a topic about what their biggest gripe is about our country/gov etc.
No holds bar! Bring it on! Lets get some action going!
Layla

Well, I couldn't resist and just cut loose, so I thought, "What the heck, why not use it for my Thursday Blog as well?" In a way, it kinda goes along with Wednesday's Blog, so here it is:

Things that are wrong with America Today:

LAYLA GONZALEZ:

It would be impossible for me to name my biggest gripe against the United States simply because there are so many things wrong with America today that I just don't know where to begin.

In the 62 years that I have been around, I have witnessed so many changes in this land that I love, and so many of the changes have not been for the good of this country.

I have been witness to the media going from fair and balanced to becoming a clear and present danger to the security of America, printing and airing so much classified or what should be classified information and slanting everything to the left.

I have been a witness to America, which was once fairly grounded in decent moral standards, degenerate into a moral cesspool. When I was growing up, it was almost always standing room only in the various neighborhood churches on Sunday mornings and in the Synagogues on Saturdays. We always started the school day with a generic and non-sectarian prayer. We were taught at home to respect our elders which included our teachers, and the teachers reinforced the moral training we received at home.

Following the race riots of the late 1960's, I have witnessed our education system go from being the best in the world to almost the worst, as the schools became dens of iniquity. Students killing students, students involved in drug dealing in and around school property, students engaging in sex right in the class rooms (these are 12 - 14 year olds), teachers (male and female) raping our sons and daughters. Many school districts hold "how - to" sessions on how to perform various homosexual acts. These have been documented. None of this stuff ever went on when I was in high school, and if it did, it certainly wasn't any where near as prevalent as it is today.

Children are growing up with no discipline what-so-ever. Far too many parents are more interested in being their child's best friend instead of being a parent. Parents today are not permitted to spank their kids when they need it. The so-called "child-rearing experts", many who do not have and never had children of their own, tell parents that if they spank their child they will destroy the child's creative spirit or shatter their tender egos. So what have we ended up with? We have now produced generation after generation of totally rude, disrespectful, foul-mouthed and hedonistic adults who have no respect for themselves or anyone else. Public speech has become so crass, so vulgar, so rude and uncouth, that it makes the proverbial "drunken sailor" look like a choirboy.

Every day, we are bombarded in advertisements, telling us how we deserve this that or the other thing, yet we are never told that to deserve anything we must merit or earn it. As a result, people today have a sense of entitlement. They feel that they deserve the best of everything life has to offer, not because they have done anything to earn it but rather just because they are here.

This has led to another problem with the majority of people in America today, and that is that they have no sense of responsibility for their action or for some of the things that happen to them. I know that there are those who don't want to hear it or to believe it, but very often, when kids at the age of 13 on up (boys and girls) who are sexually molested, often initiate the act themselves. I know this to be a fact because I have worked with enough youth groups and I saw it first hand. Then when it comes out, the authorities place ALL the blame on the adult involved and tell the kids: "It isn't your fault, you didn't do anything wrong", as a result the kids get off and they begin to believe that everything is everybody else's fault and they have no sense of responsibility.

Then when they grow up and enter politics and hold an important job within the government, if they get caught in wrong doing, all they have to do is say: "I accept full responsibility", but what does that really mean? Not a damn thing! There is no punishment of any kind, there is no penalty, just business as usual.

Another BIG problem in America is the fact that somewhere along the line, we have allowed BIG BUSINESS, BIG BANKS and SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS with deep pockets to hijack our government. When I was a kid, we were taught that ours is a Government BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, and OF THE PEOPLE. No more! Now we are a government that is BY, FOR and OF big business, big banks and special interest groups. We were supposed to be a government of majority rule, but instead, thanks to "political correctness", and all of the special interest groups, our government has become so wrapped up in minority rights that the rights of the majority are pushed aside.

To those who don't believe it, then I ask; "How else do you explain the fact that the majority of Americans are against abortion, yet abortion was declared a constitutional RIGHT, under the right to privacy? Where in the Constitution is anybody guaranteed the right to murder an innocent?" How else do you explain the fact that the majority of Americans are against all of the special rights and privileges that have been and are being granted to homosexuals and lesbians?" How else do you explain the fact that the majority of Americans have no problem with the public display of religious symbols or public prayer, yet the minority claims they are offended, so the Supreme Court tells us that it is unconstitutional to have prayer in public or to display Christian symbols on public property, because these violate the "Separation of Church and State"?, This is a total lie. There is not and there NEVER was any Separation of Church and State Clause in the Constitution, check it out for yourself.

Today, the majority of the American people are against any and all amnesty or path to citizenship for the millions of illegal immigrants that are in our country. The majority wants to have our borders secured first; the illegals deported and then have a guest worker program instituted. But the politicians, at the behest of Big Business and other special interest groups are totally ignoring the will of the people. Neither President Bush, none of the Democrats and other politicians has the desire to close the borders or to send back the illegals that are here. Instead we are fed one lie after another. We are told that our economy needs the illegals and millions more legal immigrants, because they are doing jobs that Americans refuse to do, and we are told that it would cost too much to round up the illegals and ship them back to their home countries. We are told that these are wonderful, hardworking, law abiding "citizens".

Now, let’s look at the facts:

1. Our economy NEEDS the illegals and millions more legal immigrants because they are taking jobs that Americans won't do.

TRUTH: So many of the jobs that the government and the employers claim Americans won't do, are in roofing and construction, both of which were jobs that paid a good salary. Today, the employers DO NOT want to pay a decent wage or pay health, accident or unemployment insurance so they hire legal and illegal immigrants who will work for far lower wages and no benefits. Also, the illegal immigrants are taking jobs that would normally go to our high school kids during summer vacation. So many more of our teens are unable to find summer jobs today. Another lie that we are fed by G.W. and the rest of the politicians is that we have the lowest number of unemployed workers, so that with all of the new jobs being created, we don't have enough workers therefore, we need to drastically increase the number of legal immigrants. Here is the TRUTH to that: the government gets its unemployment figures from the number of people actually receiving unemployment benefits. They do not count those who are still unemployed but have run out of unemployment benefits. So many employees who have been "downsized" from places like Kodak, General Motors and may other large corporations, as far back as 10 years ago, are either still unemployed and have lost everything including their homes and life savings or they have been forced to take two or three low paying part-time jobs.

2. It would cost too much to round up the illegals and ship them back to their home countries.

TRUTH: It is costing the American tax payers billions of dollars annually for the "FREE" medical/dental care, free education, free housing, food stamps and cash vouchers, that we are told the illegals are "entitled" to, not to mention the cost of incarceration of the criminal illegal immigrants. Add to this the cost to our environment and infrastructure from the damage that many of the illegal immigrants are causing. All of this is costing far, far more then it would cost to round up the illegals and ship them back, and to build secure border protection.

3. These are wonderful, hardworking, law abiding "citizens".

TRUTH: These are unskilled laborers, who are working mostly off the books so they are paying no income taxes to either the state or federal governments, yet they are sucking up most of the benefits. They are putting a financial strain on our education, medical and penal systems. They are NOT law abiding. Just what part of illegal immigrants do our politicians and law makers not understand? They broke our laws when they snuck in our country, showing complete disrespect for our laws and our national sovereignty. How can they be CITIZENS when they are here illegally? We are told that to round them up and deport them, would be violating their civil rights. I'm sorry, they are illegally in the country, therefore the ONLY rights they have are the right to be ARRESTED and the right to be DEPORTED. They are not entitled to any other rights which are for the CITIZENS of the United States.

Then there is the fact that most, if not all of our laws that concern children’s' rights, abortion rights' gay and lesbian rights, gun control laws, etc, DID NOT even originate in the United States. Did you know this? Just about every single one of the laws that we are forced to abide by, laws concerning so-called civil rights, gun control laws, even laws dealing with and governing OUR national parks and natural resources did not originate in our legislature, they were NOT enacted by our duly elected representatives or senators. So where did they come from? These laws were formulated and forced upon us by unelected individuals working for special interest NGO's (Non-Governmental Organizations) in the United Nations. These laws were formulated without our knowledge or consent, then they were slipped into international treaties, in the same fashion that our own law makers load up various bills with "pork", then when the bills are signed into law, so are the "pork" expenses. Any country that signs on to the U.N. treaties, are then obligated to enact the laws that were slipped into the original treaty.

In other words, every time any president of the United States signs on to a U.N. treaty, they are knowingly or unknowingly signing away more and more of our national sovereignty. At what point does this become treason, if ever? This probably explains some of the reluctance on the part of our government to enforce existing immigration laws or enact immigration laws that will secure our borders and limit the number of new immigrants, because many of the immigration B.S. that we are seeing, such as being told that illegals are entitled to all kinds of hand outs and "free" education, medical/dental care, etc, have been mandated by the U.N.

I could go on Layla, but if I did, I would be here all night and I would end up writing a book, as there are just so many things that have gone wrong in America. Suffice it to say that this is NOT the same America I grew up in. Today, it is a far scarier and dangerous place then anyone of my generation had ever dreamed of.
