MUNCHKIN'S SATURDAY CORNER # 38

A New Supermarket:

Boy, the things that stores won’t come up with to get you humans to come in and spend your money.

My Daddy took me to the grand opening of a new super market, and boy was it something.

This new super market has a brand new state of the art automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Yes I know, almost all super markets have those. But this one is different. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of thunder and then there is the unmistakable smell of fresh rain.

Then, as you approach the milk case, you hear the sound of cows mooing and then the aroma of fresh hay. Then, guess what, when you go to the egg case, you hear the clucking and cackling of hens and suddenly the air is filled with the aroma of frying bacon and eggs.

At the meat department, there is the sound of a herd of cattle and cowboys rounding them up, and then there is the aroma of fresh air and prairie grass.

Over at the cereal section, you hear the sound of corn flakes being poured into a bowl with the chatter of children, then the air is filled with the smell of fresh brewed coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice.

But, guess what, my Daddy said he will never buy toilet paper there again!

Have a Great Week.

I’ll see ya all next Saturday,

Lord willing and the Creek don’t rise.
