Political Correctness:

From whence did it come?

Political Correctness, also known as PC is not a new term by any stretch of the imagination. It has been around for at least eighty years being used as a synonym by Marxist for "The General Line of the Party."

When I posted my series of articles titled "AWAKE YOU WHO SLEEP", on my blog site and to the Apostle1 website, I mentioned a group called "The Frankfurt School" which was founded in Frankfurt, Germany in 1923. It was originally known as the Institute for Social Research. When the Nazis came to power, the faculty of the Institute fled Germany and settled in New York City. Interestingly, they were supported in their move by John Dewey, an educational reformer, and Edward R. Murrow, Dewey's right-hand-man, who later joined the CBS Broadcasting Network and was one of the main contributors of the political downfall of Sen. Joseph McCarthy. It was Edward R. Murrow who procured positions for the institute members at various educational institutions across the United States, including Columbia University, all at the behest of Dewey. So, what does the Frankfurt School have to do with Political Correctness? Well, let's find out.

According to Geoff Botkin, who is a senior consultant to the Western Conservatory of Arts and Sciences, and a former Marxist turned Christian in the early 1970s, explained that the counter-cultural revolution that took place in the 1960s was the beginning of the execution of a plan by the Frankfurt School to undermine American culture. According to Botkin, "They wanted to create so much chaos; confusion and dysfunction – a ferociously uncivil society – that the people will beg the state to come in with the answers. Once they would have achieved that, they would have their `Socialist utopia', a tyrannical state that would push Christianity out completely."

Botkin goes on to explain that, "Marxism is a declaration of war against God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is all-out warfare against the truth. The Frankfurt School said, `We cannot tolerate the culture of the West – the culture of Christendom – so we have to turn it on its head and create a culture that is anti-Western and anti-Christian.' This is the very essence of political correctness."

Thus, in America today, political correctness (PC) is a term used to mask an ideology known as "cultural Marxism, a form of Marxism that has been translated into cultural terms from economic terms.” The purpose of political correctness is to alter virtually all the rules, both formal and informal, that govern the relations between people and institutions. It was PC that led to the dumping of all words that indicated gender from our lexicon, for gender neutral words such as policeman/policewoman = police person, chairman/chairwoman = chairperson, etc. They have tried, with limited success, to force this gender neutral crap on the various Churches, by having Jesus referred to, not as the Son of God, but as the "offspring" of God, and by changing the Lord's Prayer to read; "Our Father and or Mother who art in heaven.

According to Botkin, the staff of the Frankfurt School “was the very best strategists deployed by Vladimir Lenin himself for the conquest of the world through cultural Marxism. But their initial attempts In Germany, Hungary, and Bavaria failed because the Christian influence of the time was too strong to allow it to take hold. Therefore the idea of Neo-Marxism – New Marxism – was born: that is, cultural Marxism."

Cultural Marxism has found a home in the Democratic Party in the United States. It cannot be denied, that the Democratic Party's goal, under the tutelage of the Frankfurt School and New-Marxism is to totally undermine the Christian family. This can be seen in the curriculums created for our public schools, college classrooms, and by the garbage coming out of Hollywood. The curriculums are anti-Christian to their very core, as well as being anti-family and especially anti-father, with a strong emphasis on women's rights and the total acceptance of homosexual behavior. Botkin says, "They did a complete, cultural end-run and as a result, we have today, a society that is disintegrating, confused and hostile to Christianity." Is it any wonder that every year we have an on going war on Christmas, and gay rights groups mocking Christ and Christianity every year in San Francisco and during their disgusting gay pride parades all around the country?

Political Correctness has spread its' ugly tentacles into every aspect of American life. As the Bible predicted about the end times, "That which is evil will be considered good and what is good will be called evil." Today, we see a wholesale acceptance of homosexual behavior, so accepted in fact that many heterosexual people have jumped on the bandwagon to advocate for legalizing same-sex marriages. PC has been the reason behind the acceptance of divorce and children being born out of wed-lock. Next to the disintegration of the traditional family unit, one of the biggest disasters to hit this nation has been "multi-culturalism" which has turned the United States from a "melting pot" of many cultures and customs, from East Europeans, Western Europeans, Mediterranean, Middle eastern, Asian, Southeast Asian, native American, etc., into a uniquely American culture, never before seen in the annals of history, into a tossed salad bowl that no longer sought for a unity out of diversity, but instead drove a wedge between the peoples of various cultures advocating a separatism. Those behind political correctness fought against having English as our common language, urging each nationality to speak their native language, knowing that without a common language to bind us together, we would eventually cease to exist as a cohesive nation.

The Free Congress Foundation wrote in their publication; "Very few Americans realize that political correctness is in fact Marxism in a different set of clothes. Most Americans do not realize that they, through their institutions, are being led by social revolutionaries who think in terms of the continuing destruction of the existing social order in order to create a new one. They now control the public institutions in the United States. Their quiet revolution, beginning with the counter-culture revolution of their youth, is nearing completion." It is very possible that we will see the next faze commence if Barack Obama is elected President of the United States. With all of his talk about "change" and "it is our time now", does anyone really know what changes he has in mind?

Look around people, look at any number of things from the demand that we be "tolerant" of homosexuals' desire to foist their perversion on our society to the presidential election, what you see is the results of what a group of Marxist intellectuals began many years before I was born. It explains a lot, and God saw it coming way back.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (II Timothy 3: 2-4).

When the cultural Marxists gained control and power, they levied penalties on white men and others who had the audacity to disagree with them, while they granted privileges to those groups they favored. A prime example of this is Affirmative Action, the passage of "Hate Crime" legislation, which now even covers speech. Today, there are special laws for homosexuals, transsexuals, transvestites, etc.

We are facing the demise of our nation, but it may not be too late to save our nation and restore it back to its former glory. But to do so, we MUST be willing to stand up to this insidious onslaught, by using the weapon of TRUTH. And this is especially important for priests, ministers, and pastors. As I wrote in an email to Archbishop Thaddeus, my episcopal superior, in a rebuke of a posting he made concerning "gay bashing" and homosexuality in general, if a priest, minister, pastor, etc., is too coerced and intimidated by political correctness then they have no business serving as a priest or servant of Jesus Christ. We must have the courage to speak out and boldly proclaim the truth found in scripture, we must call homosexuality a sin, we must expose abortion as nothing less than the murder it is, we must call affirmative action what it really is – reverse discrimination – and we must do this in public, loudly so that people will hear us. Of course, by doing so, may mean enduring ridicule and perhaps even persecution. The alternative would be much worse. As Edmund Burke (1729-1797) so eloquently put it:

"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
