I posted the following sometime ago, but in light of what is happening around the country today, I felt it needed to be read again:

AN OBSERVATION OF SIMPLE TRUTHS

No country on earth can expect to remain strong and continue as a leader among other nations, if they no longer respect certain institutions, institutions that were set into place by God Him self to maintain a moral and peaceful society among mankind. The
These institutions are:
a.) Marriage;
b.) Family;
From these two institutions, we get the following:
a.) Marriage;
1.) The right and proper use of sexual relations. After creating man (Adam) from the dust of the earth, God found that it was not good for man to be alone, so He put the man into a deep sleep. God then opened Adam’s side and removed a rib, closing the place up with flesh. From the rib, God created a help meet for the man. When God brought her to Adam, he said “I shall call her woman for she is bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.” The word “woman” means “from man” or “out of man”. Adam and Eve were the only living creatures that God created that procreate facing each other.
2.) This was the first “marriage”, one man to one woman. As is stated in Holy Scripture:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined
to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)
God’s ideal for marriage is stated very plainly as follows:
“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”
“For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the
church; and He is Savior of the body.”
“Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be
to their own husbands in everything” (Ephesians 5:22-24)
Now, least anyone thinks other wise, God did not intend for men to lord it over their wives, but rather marriage was to be a partnership. All matters concerning the family were to be discussed and all sides considered, but once the husband has heard and considered all sides, and made a decision, the wife is to abide by the husband’s decision. Holy Scripture goes on to say:
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church
and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with
the washing of water by word.” (Ephesians 5:25)
Marriage was to be a permanent institution, with divorce only for just cause. Again in Holy Scripture:
“Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that
He departed from Galilee and came to the region of

And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him,
‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?’
And Jesus answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He
who made them at the beginning made them male and female,”
“and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
“So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore
what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a
certificate of divorce, and put her away?” Jesus said to them,
“Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to
divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.”
“And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual
Immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever
marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
b.) This union of one man to one woman led to the birth of children, which led to the family unit. The family was to be the basic foundation of all societies. God knew that strong families would beget strong communities and strong communities would beget strong law abiding nations. Sex outside of the institution of marriage was condemned by God and sex between a male and female was the ONLY sexual act permitted by God.
“Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, to defile yourself with her.”(Leviticus 18:21)
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.
Nor shall you mate with any beast, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before a beast to mate with it. It is a perversion.
Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.” (Leviticus 18:22- 24).
“For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.” (Leviticus 18:29).
Through the family (Father, Mother and Children) comes respect and love for others, but it must start within the family first. It is said that the fifth commandment, honor thy father and thy mother, is pivotal, for it is between the commandments teaching us to love our Creator, and those admonishing us to love our fellow man.
This respect and love for others is taught to the children when they see the love and respect that their father and mother show to each other and then to their children. The natural progression is then for this love and respect to turn outward to neighbors and the greater community.
God admonished us:
“Honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12)
“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you , that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”
(Deuteronomy 5:16)
God also admonished parents as to their duties and obligations toward their children. In Holy Scripture, we read:
“And you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6: 4)
If these admonishments, along with God’s other commandments are followed, we would have a safe and prosperous society and country, not a perfect society because God did give mankind “Free Will”, but at least the people would live in secure neighborhoods, their country would be comparatively free from internal strife, there would be plenty to eat and jobs.

The police were friendly and helpful and knew everyone who lived within their “beat”. Years ago, the police departments of each city were set up in neighborhood precincts and the police officers walked in pairs during their patrols. Because of this, each police officer knew who lived in each neighborhood and the citizens knew the officers who protected their neighborhood. The citizens respected the police and the police respected the citizens.
Then, something went wrong, terribly wrong. It didn’t happen all at once, but slowly over time at first. It began about 1913, when our government (those whom we elected to do the will of the people) began to lose their way, turning from governing according to God’s Laws; they began to become corrupted by power and money from outside sources. Slowly at first, they began to disregard their oaths of office and the Supreme Law of the land, the Constitution. They began to sell out our country and people to One World Government forces.
This then led other evil elements within our country to become emboldened to push for “RIGHTS” and “FREEDOMS” that our founding Fathers never intended or dreamed of.

Once God was successfully band from our public schools, sex education was instituted into the public school curriculum, starting as early as kindergarten. This was followed by the doing away with the school dress codes and corporal punishment. Then through United Nations treaties, our Supreme Court then made it illegal for parents to spank their children. Most psychologists and liberal thinkers and educators are against corporal punishment because they feel that punishment makes the one punished feel guilty, and this is bad. Thus in our society, neither the criminal nor the disobedient child is likely to receive the proper, loving, corporal punishment, sometimes even deserved execution, that God’s Word commands. Because of some abuses in punishment (child beating, wife beating, kangaroo court justice, etc.), society as a whole has rejected outright the concept of right and proper punishment. Misuse of corporal punishment (parents lashing out in anger) has given a bad name to the godly principle of punishment. This has led to disrespect for teachers, parents, elders and all authority on the part of children. Each day that this satanically-led society is allowed to continue, it becomes more and more difficult for parents to train their children to be obedient, law-abiding citizens.
The next step in our nation’s moral decline came when the United States Supreme Court, ruled, (wrongly) that women have the right to murder their unborn children (abortion) under the right to privacy amendment of the Constitution. How anyone, in their right mind, can possibly see a RIGHT to murder the innocent in the right to privacy amendment is beyond all logical comprehension. This act alone has led to an utter disrespect for life which has now led to the push to legalize doctor assisted suicides and so-called mercy killings (euthanasia). Today we are seeing a rise in violent crimes such as drive-by shootings, gang violence, beatings, school shootings, home invasions, rapes, etc.
One would think that we would quit while we were ahead, but instead we had to go further. Our courts next instituted “no fault divorce”, which made it extremely easy for couples to get a divorce for whatever reason. This was a direct blow on the institution of marriage. Divorce and broken homes are a major cause of delinquent and disobedient children. Then to add insult to injury, the Women’s Rights Movement stepped up to bat and insisted that women did not need a man in their life, even though God intended that the husband should have the primary responsibility to provide physically and spiritually for his household. The husband has a God-given responsibility to lovingly lead the family, as Christ leads the Church. The wife has the responsibility to be a fitting help to her husband, backing him up in every way, taking care of the home, and the major role in child development. When women try to usurp the role of bread winner instead of keeping to their role as bread maker, the family is headed for trouble. Women today are under tremendous pressure from this satanic society to be dissatisfied with the role that God gave them as homemakers. Men today are under pressure to be weak and non-communicative, two traits they cannot have, to be the leader of the family that God intends. Women began bed hopping from one man to another, having child after child out of wedlock, often having several children by several different men. We now have so many children growing up without a father in the home. Back in the late 1960’s to the 70’s, we witnessed the “sexual revolution” (free sex, love-ins, etc.) which turned sex into a form of recreation with no commitments, and today we have children at younger and younger ages engaging in sexual acts.
Not to be left out, the morally corrupt gay and lesbian groups have gotten onto their soap boxes fighting for their “RIGHTS”. First, single parents were given the right to adopt children, and then single gays and lesbians were given the right to adopt children. Then the schools began to teach the acceptance of the gay and lesbian life-style and that there is nothing wrong with a child having two “mommies” or two “daddies”, or a cross-dressing parent. Then the gay and lesbian groups have begun to fight for the RIGHT to “same-sex” marriage, and with the help of the activist federal court judges, they are winning this right. A major recruiter to the homosexual life -style among the young is the public schools. They present homosexuality as an alternate life style. In their drive to dominate, homosexuals and radical feminists aim to destroy marriage and the family, which God set as the foundation for society. Why then, would the National Education Association adopt the homosexual agenda without exception? A central aim is to drive Christians out of public life, as witnessed by the increasing drive for "hate crime" laws, and the outrageous claim that taking a stance against the homosexual lifestyle makes one guilty of inciting violence against homosexuals. This is just one more slap in God’s face, and it will put the final nail in the “coffins” of marriage and family, and leaving so many children with sexual identity problems and no proper father or mother role models.
In today’s society, we have parents who want to "get rid" of their children for a few weeks vacation, and are happy when their children grow up and leave home so they can live their own lives. Some grandparents continue to selfishly pursue their own interests, forgetting their children and grandchildren. Children abandon their parents to nursing homes. There are many fathers do not know how to relate to their children or show love and affection, especially to their sons. Their children have a void in their lives because of the absence of fatherly love. And there are fathers who provoke their children to wrath. They whip their children for every small matter, giving them no affection, and telling them "you'll never amount to a hill of beans." So the children begin to act as if this were true. They never see love and never learn how to give it.
We really don’t have to worry about terrorists destroying our country, because we are doing a great job of it ourselves. With the moral decline that we are facing, there is little or nothing left worth fighting for or defending. The real enemies of the
If something isn’t done to prohibit same sex marriage, such as through a Constitutional Amendment, and if we do nothing to reverse the immorality that we have allowed,
"There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother," (Proverbs 30:11.)
"And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the bas against the honorable . . . . As for my people, children
are their oppressors, and women rule over them," (Isaiah 3:4-5, 12.)
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection," ( II Timothy 3:1-5.)
To them who are willing to follow God’s commands:
"And if you obey the voice of The Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, The Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of The Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading-trough. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out." (Deuteronomy 28:1-6)
To those who choose not to follow and obey God:
"But if you will not obey the voice of The Lord your God or be careful to do
all His Commandments and His statutes which I command you this day, then all
these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city,
and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading-
trough. Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, the
increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you
come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will send upon you
curses, confusion, and frustration, in all that you undertake to do, until you are
destroyed and perish quickly, on account of the evil of your doings, because you
have forsaken Me." (Deuteronomy 28:15-20)
