SUNDAYS TWO-CENTS WORTH: #41:

America, the not so beautiful

There is no doubt that America has changed drastically since the time of her founding. From America’s earliest history, we existed as a Christian nation based on Judeo/Christian principles. However, since the start of the late nineteenth century, early twentieth century, we have been on a moral decline, as each succeeding generation jettisoned more and more of our moral values.

The Origin of Species, written by Charles Darwin in 1859, laid the foundation for the corruption of thought in America, brought about by the theory of evolution. Why was this? With the theory of evolution, it became unnecessary to believe in a Creator, instead, people have been taught that things just “create” themselves out of nothing. Then to add insult to injury, along came Sigmund Freud who developed the notion that we can understand ourselves just through our feelings and this garbage still holds sway over society today, as churches, schools, and self-help gurus preach the gospel of “Do whatever makes you feel good.” So, who needs God? After all, God despises sin, and very often, sin is pleasing to us, it makes us feel good.

As Darwin and Freud were screwing up people’s minds in the areas of science and education, a German scholar by the name of Julius Wellhausen came along to screw up the churches. Wellhausen taught the Moses did not write the Pentateuch, but rather it was compiled centuries after the events by various men who just pieced it together. This became the major step in a belief in the Bibles fallibility, which has led to many Christians choosing to either reject whole portions of the Bible (cafeteria Christianity) or to rewrite scripture to fit in with their particular peccadilloes, such as pushing the acceptance of homosexuality.

It is no coincidence that the founder of the modern public education system, John Dewey, was also one of the signers of the Humanist Manifesto, which brought about an educational system that uprooted children from the traditional setting of home schooling and schools connected with churches ( there was a time when the Roman Catholic schools had one of the best educational systems, not only in America, but around the world), and plopped them into the daily care of a state run educational system that rejects not only God, but all forms of morality. In this God-less school system, our children are brainwashed in the ideas of the new “religion”, humanism.

Then, in 1963, at the behest of one atheist woman, prayer was removed from the public schools in another attempt to remove any reference to God from our public venue. President Ronald Reagan foresaw the danger in this, and stated:

“Our Pledge of Allegiance states that we are ‘one nation under God,’ and our currency bears the motto, ‘In God We Trust.’ The morality and values such faith implies are deeply embedded in our national character. Our country embraces those principles by design, and we abandon them at our peril. Yet in recent years . . . Americans have for the sake of religious tolerance . . . forbidden religious practice in the classrooms. The law of this land has effectively removed prayer from our classrooms. How can we hope to retain our freedom through the generations if we fail to teach our young that our liberty springs from an abiding faith in our Creator?”

Through their writings we can see that the founding fathers of America had a deep desire and conviction to build a nation where the people would fear and honor the Lord, but with each passing generation, Americans become less and less God-fearing, as well as less and less moral. We have been infected by the insidious form of mind control called ‘Political Correctness’, which has brought about forced tolerance of all forms of immoral and unnatural behavior.

Christianity was dealt another blow as our churches, though claiming to be Christian, began to teach the belief that all other religions were equal truths with Christianity, which goes completely against what Jesus Christ himself taught: “Nobody comes to the Father, except through me.” This toleration has led to the declassification of homosexuality being a psychological disorder, in 1973, at the height of the AIDS epidemic. Today, this unnatural and vile life-style, which God Himself declared to be an abomination, is highly promoted in our public education system under the guise of the “celebration of diversity” curriculum, and the ACLU forced anti-sodomy laws out of all state legislation, and indiscriminate sex before marriage soon became acceptable after the implementation of so-called “Common Law Marriage.” Now we have the convenience of abortion that has further lessened any sense of personal responsibility. The Liberal Left (Democrats) will piss and moan over the death of a baby whale, a spotted owl, a snail darter or any other animal species, and they will scream to high heaven about wanting to put an end to the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, and protest against the death penalty for a convicted murderer, while abortion, which they say is a women’s right, claims millions of innocent lives. With each new generation, hearts grow colder as minds become more warped and our consciences become ever more comatose.

There are those who will insist that America is no more immoral or violent then it was decades ago. They say that we only think it has grown worse simply because we hear about it more through our news media. To them, I say Bull S&%T!! America has become far more immoral, violent and God-less then it was back when I was a boy.

Wake up people, God is giving us a wake up call, through all of the natural disasters that have been hitting us over the last few years. The tornadoes, hurricanes, wild fires, heavy rains and flooding are becoming more and more frequent and they are increasing in intensity. We still have an opportunity to turn things around, but that opportunity won’t last forever. Time is quickly running out.

MUNCHKIN'S SATURDAY CORNER - #62

Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water

Did you know that the Chinese and the Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water? Perhaps it is time that we adopt their drinking habit.

For those of you who like to drink cold water or other cold beverages, this article is for you.

It’s nice to have a cup or glass of cold water, soda, beer, etc., after a meal. However, cold drinks will solidify the oily stuff you have just eaten. That in turn will slow down digestion. Once this “sludge” reacts with the acid in your stomach, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestines faster than the solid food.

It will line the intestines and very soon it will turn into fats that can lead to cancer and heart attacks. It is best to drink either a hot cup of soup, or a hot cup of tea after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack

You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be pain in the left arm. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful and be aware. The more you know, the better chance you have to survive a heart attack.

Who Has The World's Most Oil?

Like most of you, I am absolutely blown away by the outrages cost for a gallon of gas. I am now beyond being mad as hell, I am more like totally p#$%ed off. It is long passed time for all of us to put up or shut up. By that, I mean that we the belly-aching has got to stop, and that includes me as well. It is TIME TO DO SOMETHING! I don’t mean that we should stop buying gas from some of the big companies or to not buy gas on a given day. The real answer is to lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

As I was poking around the Internet (ok, so I’m a troll), I decided to do a Google search of “Untapped U.S. Oil Reserves,” and the results shocked the heck out of me. Go ahead, take a minute or two and see for yourself! Aw, never mind, I’ll share some of the highlights I found.

1. Ever heard of the Bakken Formation?

The U.S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oilmen/women knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota and extreme eastern Montana ... check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst, said: "When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea"

"This sizeable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years," reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the "Bakken." And it stretches from Northern Montana through North Dakota and into Canada. For years, U.S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the "Big Oil" companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.

If THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because it's from TWO YEARS AGO, people!

2. "U.S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!"

Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006. Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world - more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction.

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

8 times as much oil as Saudi Arabia; 18 times as much oil as Iraq; 21 times as much oil as Kuwait; 22 times as much oil as Iran; 500 times as much oil as Yemen - and it's all right here in the Western United States.

HOW can this be? HOW can we NOT be extracting this? Because we've not D E M A N D E D legislation to come out of Washington allowing its extraction, that's why!

Don't think "Big Oil" will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, and if they can extract it (here) for less, they can afford to sell it for less - and if they DON'T, others will. It will come down - it has to.

Have I got your attention/ire up yet? Hope so! Now, while you're thinking about it ... and hopefully P.O'd, do this:

Take 5-10 minutes and compose an e-mail, fax or good old-fashioned letter to our elected officials in Washington ... and their respected leaders. We'll start with them, and here's how you can send them your e-mail/fax, DEMANDING the immediate Legislation/Energy Plan that calls for tapping into these (OUR OWN!) reserves, as well as allowing for the offshore drilling for OUR oil, in OUR offshore waters and inter-continental shelf ... not to mention Alaska. Technology ain't what it used to be; people (ever had arthroscopic surgery?). They can surgically extract OUR oil, and get us on the way to at least some measure of Energy independence, and accomplish it in an environmentally-friendly manner.

If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices… Because by doing NOTHING, you've forfeited your right to complain.

I posted the following sometime ago, but in light of what is happening around the country today, I felt it needed to be read again:

AN OBSERVATION OF SIMPLE TRUTHS

No country on earth can expect to remain strong and continue as a leader among other nations, if they no longer respect certain institutions, institutions that were set into place by God Him self to maintain a moral and peaceful society among mankind. The United States is no exception.

These institutions are:

a.) Marriage;

b.) Family;

From these two institutions, we get the following:

a.) Marriage;

1.) The right and proper use of sexual relations. After creating man (Adam) from the dust of the earth, God found that it was not good for man to be alone, so He put the man into a deep sleep. God then opened Adam’s side and removed a rib, closing the place up with flesh. From the rib, God created a help meet for the man. When God brought her to Adam, he said “I shall call her woman for she is bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.” The word “woman” means “from man” or “out of man”. Adam and Eve were the only living creatures that God created that procreate facing each other.

2.) This was the first “marriage”, one man to one woman. As is stated in Holy Scripture:

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined

to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)

God’s ideal for marriage is stated very plainly as follows:

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”

“For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the

church; and He is Savior of the body.”

“Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be

to their own husbands in everything” (Ephesians 5:22-24)

Now, least anyone thinks other wise, God did not intend for men to lord it over their wives, but rather marriage was to be a partnership. All matters concerning the family were to be discussed and all sides considered, but once the husband has heard and considered all sides, and made a decision, the wife is to abide by the husband’s decision. Holy Scripture goes on to say:

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church

and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with

the washing of water by word.” (Ephesians 5:25)

Marriage was to be a permanent institution, with divorce only for just cause. Again in Holy Scripture:

“Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that

He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond

the Jordan.

And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.

The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him,

‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?’

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He

who made them at the beginning made them male and female,”

“and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother

and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?

“So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore

what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a

certificate of divorce, and put her away?” Jesus said to them,

“Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to

divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.”

“And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual

Immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever

marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

b.) This union of one man to one woman led to the birth of children, which led to the family unit. The family was to be the basic foundation of all societies. God knew that strong families would beget strong communities and strong communities would beget strong law abiding nations. Sex outside of the institution of marriage was condemned by God and sex between a male and female was the ONLY sexual act permitted by God.

“Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, to defile yourself with her.”(Leviticus 18:21)

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Nor shall you mate with any beast, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before a beast to mate with it. It is a perversion.

Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.” (Leviticus 18:22- 24).

“For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.” (Leviticus 18:29).

Through the family (Father, Mother and Children) comes respect and love for others, but it must start within the family first. It is said that the fifth commandment, honor thy father and thy mother, is pivotal, for it is between the commandments teaching us to love our Creator, and those admonishing us to love our fellow man.

This respect and love for others is taught to the children when they see the love and respect that their father and mother show to each other and then to their children. The natural progression is then for this love and respect to turn outward to neighbors and the greater community.

God admonished us:

“Honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12)

“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you , that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”

(Deuteronomy 5:16)

God also admonished parents as to their duties and obligations toward their children. In Holy Scripture, we read:

“And you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6: 4)

If these admonishments, along with God’s other commandments are followed, we would have a safe and prosperous society and country, not a perfect society because God did give mankind “Free Will”, but at least the people would live in secure neighborhoods, their country would be comparatively free from internal strife, there would be plenty to eat and jobs.

This was America for along period of time, for as long as we followed the commandments of God, He shed His blessings on us and our land. We were not a Christian country in terms of being a theocracy; rather we were a Christian nation in terms of being a moral country whose laws were based upon the Ten Commandments and British Common Law.

For years, America stood as “a shining city upon a hill”. We were number one in agriculture, manufacturing, education and military might. There were individuals who committed crimes against society and who broke God’s Laws, but punishment was swift and fair, and the nation as a whole was decent and moral. The vast majority of the families were close knit, children not only honored their parents, but they were taught to respect their elders and those in authority. Our neighborhoods were safe places where children could go out and play from early morning until the street lights came on in the summer time. All neighbors acted as surrogate parents to each others children, keeping an eye on them, and even caring for one another in times of illness, death in the family or other hard times.

The police were friendly and helpful and knew everyone who lived within their “beat”. Years ago, the police departments of each city were set up in neighborhood precincts and the police officers walked in pairs during their patrols. Because of this, each police officer knew who lived in each neighborhood and the citizens knew the officers who protected their neighborhood. The citizens respected the police and the police respected the citizens.

Then, something went wrong, terribly wrong. It didn’t happen all at once, but slowly over time at first. It began about 1913, when our government (those whom we elected to do the will of the people) began to lose their way, turning from governing according to God’s Laws; they began to become corrupted by power and money from outside sources. Slowly at first, they began to disregard their oaths of office and the Supreme Law of the land, the Constitution. They began to sell out our country and people to One World Government forces.

This then led other evil elements within our country to become emboldened to push for “RIGHTS” and “FREEDOMS” that our founding Fathers never intended or dreamed of.

Starting with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, the United States really began to pick up speed in its downward slide. Beginning with pornographers and filthy mouthed comedians, aided by morally bankrupt federal judges, who began to usurp powers not belonging to them, began to pervert a twist the Constitutional amendments of freedom of speech and freedom of the press to mean that the pornographers had the right to print any and all filth they wished and the so-called comedians and stand-up comics could spew all the filthy jokes and dirty talk they wanted across the airwaves of radio and television.

The next step was to ban prayer in our public schools. This was something our schools did right from the founding of America; they started each school day with a prayer, asking God’s blessings on our country, our parents, and our teachers and upon those who protected us. Then one day, one atheist woman managed to get the United States Supreme Court to declare the school prayer as unconstitutional. This has led to the banning of any and all Christian symbols from the public arena (parks, federal and state buildings, etc.).

Once God was successfully band from our public schools, sex education was instituted into the public school curriculum, starting as early as kindergarten. This was followed by the doing away with the school dress codes and corporal punishment. Then through United Nations treaties, our Supreme Court then made it illegal for parents to spank their children. Most psychologists and liberal thinkers and educators are against corporal punishment because they feel that punishment makes the one punished feel guilty, and this is bad. Thus in our society, neither the criminal nor the disobedient child is likely to receive the proper, loving, corporal punishment, sometimes even deserved execution, that God’s Word commands. Because of some abuses in punishment (child beating, wife beating, kangaroo court justice, etc.), society as a whole has rejected outright the concept of right and proper punishment. Misuse of corporal punishment (parents lashing out in anger) has given a bad name to the godly principle of punishment. This has led to disrespect for teachers, parents, elders and all authority on the part of children. Each day that this satanically-led society is allowed to continue, it becomes more and more difficult for parents to train their children to be obedient, law-abiding citizens.

The next step in our nation’s moral decline came when the United States Supreme Court, ruled, (wrongly) that women have the right to murder their unborn children (abortion) under the right to privacy amendment of the Constitution. How anyone, in their right mind, can possibly see a RIGHT to murder the innocent in the right to privacy amendment is beyond all logical comprehension. This act alone has led to an utter disrespect for life which has now led to the push to legalize doctor assisted suicides and so-called mercy killings (euthanasia). Today we are seeing a rise in violent crimes such as drive-by shootings, gang violence, beatings, school shootings, home invasions, rapes, etc.

One would think that we would quit while we were ahead, but instead we had to go further. Our courts next instituted “no fault divorce”, which made it extremely easy for couples to get a divorce for whatever reason. This was a direct blow on the institution of marriage. Divorce and broken homes are a major cause of delinquent and disobedient children. Then to add insult to injury, the Women’s Rights Movement stepped up to bat and insisted that women did not need a man in their life, even though God intended that the husband should have the primary responsibility to provide physically and spiritually for his household. The husband has a God-given responsibility to lovingly lead the family, as Christ leads the Church. The wife has the responsibility to be a fitting help to her husband, backing him up in every way, taking care of the home, and the major role in child development. When women try to usurp the role of bread winner instead of keeping to their role as bread maker, the family is headed for trouble. Women today are under tremendous pressure from this satanic society to be dissatisfied with the role that God gave them as homemakers. Men today are under pressure to be weak and non-communicative, two traits they cannot have, to be the leader of the family that God intends. Women began bed hopping from one man to another, having child after child out of wedlock, often having several children by several different men. We now have so many children growing up without a father in the home. Back in the late 1960’s to the 70’s, we witnessed the “sexual revolution” (free sex, love-ins, etc.) which turned sex into a form of recreation with no commitments, and today we have children at younger and younger ages engaging in sexual acts.

Not to be left out, the morally corrupt gay and lesbian groups have gotten onto their soap boxes fighting for their “RIGHTS”. First, single parents were given the right to adopt children, and then single gays and lesbians were given the right to adopt children. Then the schools began to teach the acceptance of the gay and lesbian life-style and that there is nothing wrong with a child having two “mommies” or two “daddies”, or a cross-dressing parent. Then the gay and lesbian groups have begun to fight for the RIGHT to “same-sex” marriage, and with the help of the activist federal court judges, they are winning this right. A major recruiter to the homosexual life -style among the young is the public schools. They present homosexuality as an alternate life style. In their drive to dominate, homosexuals and radical feminists aim to destroy marriage and the family, which God set as the foundation for society. Why then, would the National Education Association adopt the homosexual agenda without exception? A central aim is to drive Christians out of public life, as witnessed by the increasing drive for "hate crime" laws, and the outrageous claim that taking a stance against the homosexual lifestyle makes one guilty of inciting violence against homosexuals. This is just one more slap in God’s face, and it will put the final nail in the “coffins” of marriage and family, and leaving so many children with sexual identity problems and no proper father or mother role models.

In today’s society, we have parents who want to "get rid" of their children for a few weeks vacation, and are happy when their children grow up and leave home so they can live their own lives. Some grandparents continue to selfishly pursue their own interests, forgetting their children and grandchildren. Children abandon their parents to nursing homes. There are many fathers do not know how to relate to their children or show love and affection, especially to their sons. Their children have a void in their lives because of the absence of fatherly love. And there are fathers who provoke their children to wrath. They whip their children for every small matter, giving them no affection, and telling them "you'll never amount to a hill of beans." So the children begin to act as if this were true. They never see love and never learn how to give it.

We really don’t have to worry about terrorists destroying our country, because we are doing a great job of it ourselves. With the moral decline that we are facing, there is little or nothing left worth fighting for or defending. The real enemies of the United States are our own elected officials (Presidents, Senators, Representatives, etc.) along with all of the federal court and Supreme Court judges, and We, the American People. If we don’t have enough morally decent citizens with the intestinal fortitude to rise up in revolt against this evil, then we are, in essence, just as guilty and we do not deserve to live in a great and free society.

If something isn’t done to prohibit same sex marriage, such as through a Constitutional Amendment, and if we do nothing to reverse the immorality that we have allowed, America will have very little time left as a great nation. Even though there are those who don’t want to believe, we have been given many warnings from God. Just take a look at the worsening hurricanes both in ferocity and frequency, along with more and more deadly tornados, the flooding and forest and wild fires, the spread of Aids and other diseases. Oh yes, God does punish whole nations for national sins, those committed by a nations government as well as by the people. It is almost past time to heed the warnings of God:

"There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother," (Proverbs 30:11.)

"And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the bas against the honorable . . . . As for my people, children

are their oppressors, and women rule over them," (Isaiah 3:4-5, 12.)

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection," ( II Timothy 3:1-5.)

To them who are willing to follow God’s commands:

"And if you obey the voice of The Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, The Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of The Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading-trough. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out." (Deuteronomy 28:1-6)

To those who choose not to follow and obey God:

"But if you will not obey the voice of The Lord your God or be careful to do
all His Commandments and His statutes which I command you this day, then all
these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city,
and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading-
trough. Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, the
increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you
come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will send upon you
curses, confusion, and frustration, in all that you undertake to do, until you are
destroyed and perish quickly, on account of the evil of your doings, because you
have forsaken Me." (Deuteronomy 28:15-20)
