Split Healed in the Russian Orthodox Churches

80-Year Schism Comes to an End

MOSCOW, MAY 21, 2007 - The unity of the Russian Orthodox Church has been restored after an 80-year schism, announced Moscow Patriarch Alexy II during a Liturgy celebrating the end of the divide.

The Associated Press is reporting that leaders of the Russian Orthodox faith signed a pact Thursday, healing the decades-old rift between the Russian Orthodox Church and an offshoot, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, organized after the Bolshevik Revolution.

Patriarch Alexy II, the leader of the main Russian Orthodox Church, led the ceremony at the Christ the Savior Cathedral, thanking President Vladimir Putin, who attended the celebration, for his help to end the split through meetings with church leaders.

The reunion agreement, called the Canonical Communion Act, was later signed by Alexy II along with Metropolitan Laurus, head of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

The reunion act will not be a merger, as both entities will maintain administrative control over their parishes. The clergy, however, will be able to preside over Liturgies in both churches with parishioners being able to share Communion.

The Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, based in New York, has about 480,000 members while the Moscow Patriarchate, has 90 million members, not including millions of believers in other countries of the former Soviet Union.

TROUBLE FINDING VETRINARIAN CARE FOR OUR PETS:

I don’t know how many others out there in “Computer Land” have or are running into the same problem as I am experiencing, but it appears to be getting harder and harder for the average person in America to afford veterinary care for their “fur babies” (pets to the average folks), and somehow, I cannot help but think that insurance companies are behind this.

More and more veterinarians and animal hospitals are doing away with allowing pet owners to make monthly payments (monthly billing) and the cost of veterinarian care is getting higher by the year. I think that it is at the urging of insurance companies that have sprung up to offer pet health insurance. The monthly premiums for the pet health care insurance are often as high as the monthly premiums humans pay for their health insurance, thus it is making it harder and harder for the average person to afford to have a pet. This is especially hard for the handicapped and elderly who may live alone and their only companionship may be their pet. Since Munchkin, my little Toy Fox Terrier became ill six days ago, I have been finding it impossible to find a vet who would let me on a monthly basis, because since I am semi retired and living on Social Security Disability, that is the only way I can afford to pay for any treatments she may require.

I contacted “Lollypop Farm” which is run by our local Humane Society (A.S.P.C.A – American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and explained my situation. They told me that they ONLY offer financial assistance to the disabled, elderly and low-income people to spay/neuter their pets. The only other option that they could give me was to bring Munchkin to Lollypop and sign her over to them. Then they would treat her and if she pulled through, they would adopt her out to another individual. This would NOT be an option I could accept and knowing Munchkin's past history; I don't think it would be acceptable to her either, as she will not let anyone near her unless I am holding her (this is a result of the abuse she faced before I adopted her).

Before I "adopted" Munchkin, I had a Mini Rat Terrier, named "Baby" who was also a dog in need of rescue. Back in 1995, Baby was in need of a cancer operation (breast cancer which required the removal of three of her breasts). At the time, I was in the same situation I am now, as I became disabled in 1993. After much searching and begging, I was able to find a very kind hearted Vet in the Village of Spencerport (about 17 miles from where I live) who agreed to do the operation and accept monthly payments. I had to pay as much as I could down, which was about $62.00 and then I agreed to make monthly payments of $57.00 a month for 17 months until the bill was paid, the total bill came to $1,034.00. I just contacted that vet about an hour ago. He told me that he also stopped doing billing, but he said that if I want to, I could bring Munchkin in tomorrow at 3:00 pm, he will charge me the $35.00 office visit and examine her to find out what is wrong and then he will see if we can work something out for paying whatever the cost will be. So I will have to wait until then and hope for the best.

Special Prayer Request

I am going to ask each you to say some special prayers for "Munchkin".
I think I may be losing her soon. She has been unable to eat for the past five days. When she tries, she vomits. I think that it may be connected to the dog food she was eating that I bought at our local Wal-Mart (Ol' Roy). It ended up on the recall list of poisoned pet food.

I have been unable to take her to the vet because since I am on SSD, I do not have the money to pay up front, and ALL of the vets here, will not see her unless I can pay upfront. I tried telling them that I can make monthly payments only, but they all tell me that they cannot do that, so I am forced to just watch he die. I don't even have the money, at this time, to have her euthanized.

When she does pass, it will be extremely hard on me because I am still not over "Baby's" passing, even though it has been five years. “Baby” was a Mini-Rat Terrier I had for 19 years. She passed in October 2002, I got “Munchkin” one month later as a dog in need of rescue. She has now been with me for almost five years now. Many of you know her from “Munchkin’s Saturday Corner” on this blog.

These words of fatherly advice came from Joel Becker, an associate clinical professor of psychology at the University of California at Los Angeles, when he stated:

BABY GIRL BURNED IN A MOTEL MICROWAVE OVEN RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL, FATHER OF THE GIRL CHARGED:

The baby girl’s mother placed blame on the devil, saying Satan made her husband put the baby in the microwave, because the devil saw her husband as a threat because he wanted to become a preacher (mmmm okay).

Eva Marie Mauldin, 20, told Houston television station KHOU, "He would never do anything to hurt her," she said. "Satan was working through his weaknesses." Maudlin said her husband had a mental disability and her efforts to get him help have failed (and he wants to be a preacher?)

Doctors at the Shriners Burn Hospital performed two skin grafts on 2 month old Ana Marie Mauldin, who suffered burns on her face and hand May 10. She was released Monday and placed in foster care, and a custody hearing was scheduled later this week.

Her father, Joshua Mauldin, 19, has been charged with felony injury to a child and has been jailed on $250,000 bond. If found guilty, he could face up to 99 years in prison (maybe he could preach to his cell mate, “Big Bubba”).

Unconstitutional and Illegal Federal Laws

Tuesday, May 22nd

Today, I am going to start with Article I – Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution to show how the Federal Government is violating the SUPREME LAW of the LAND. I am not going to list all of the items in each Article, only the ones that are being violated by the government:

Section 8.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes; (Here we have the first violation which I will be pointing out):

Please note that Section 8 states: “Congress shall have Power to regulate Commerce with foreign Nations. . . .”, No where does it state that We the People have given Congress the RIGHT, POWER or DUTY to cede this Power to any other branch of Government, yet that is EXACTLY what Congress did when the Senate passed "fast track" legislation, forfeiting its right under the Constitution to set trade policy to the executive branch.

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

Here we see that Congress is to establish Naturalization rules, but they have been negligent in this duty by their failure to see that our Immigration Laws, which they have enacted, are enforced. This has led to the present immigration chaos facing our nation today.

To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

Once again, please note that the Constitution states: “Congress shall have Power to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof. . . .”, and as in all of the Powers established in the Constitution for each of the THREE Branches of GOVERNMENT, there was and is NO provision or clause that gives them the RIGHT or POWER to cede their powers to other branches of Government or to private (non-government) individuals, groups, organizations or entities. Yet, this is exactly what Congress did in 1913, under the administration of President Woodrow Wilson, when Congress unconstitutionally (thus illegally) ceded this POWER to a privately owned banking cartel and allowed them to set up the Federal Reserve Banking System along with the Federal Income Tax and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

According to the Constitution, in order for something to become an AMENDMENT to the Constitution, it REQUIRES ratification by TWO THIRDS of the States. Both the Federal Reserve System and the IRS along with the Federal Income Tax, were planned in secrecy (see the book Creature from Jekyll Island by Stephen Neitzke)* and they were voted into law in the middle of the night on December 23, 1913 when the majority of Congress had gone home for the Christmas holiday. Here is a little background info on the Federal Reserve Banking System and the Federal Income Tax.

First, the Federal Reserve Bank IS NOT part of the Federal Government. If you look under the United States Government section of you telephone book, where it lists ALL of the Federal Departments, you will NOT find the Federal Reserve listed there. Why? The Federal Reserve Banking System is and always has been a PRIVATELY owned banking cartel.

Those sitting on the Board of Directors and the major shareholders (Class “A” stock) of the Federal Reserve Bank System are:

Members of the Rothschild family, both the London and Berlin branches of the family;

Family members of the Lazard Brothers of Paris;

Family of Israel Seiff of Italy;

Kuhn-Loeb Company of Germany;

Warburg Family of Hamburg and Amsterdam in The Netherlands;

Lehman Brothers of New York City;

Goldman and Sachs (Sachs Fifth Avenue) of New York City;

The Rockefeller Family.

Many of the above named are also on the Boards of every major national bank in Europe and Asia.

The only connection that the Federal Reserve has to our Federal Government is that by law, the President of the U.S. appoints the seven members of the Federal Reserve Board (this is the local Board, not the Board of the Federal Reserve System listed above) who serve a term of fourteen years each. Other then that, the Federal Reserve is NOT accountable to the Government.

The Fed receives well over a trillion dollars of income annually, yet Congress holds them exempt from paying any taxes on their illegally obtained income. The only taxes paid by the Federal Reserve is real estate taxes. In order to keep the American public in the dark, the Fed’s financial activities are never exposed to the light of day. In it’s ninety-four year history, the Fed has NEVER been audited by Congress or any other government agency.

“Neither Presidents, Congressmen, nor Secretaries of the Treasury direct the Federal Reserve. In matters of money, the Federal Reserve directs them.” None Dare Call It Conspiracy, Gary Allen

“In the United States we have, in effect, two governments…. We have the duly constituted Government…. Then we have an independent, uncontrolled and uncoordinated government in the Federal Reserve System, operating the money powers which are reserved to Congress by the Constitution.” Congressman Wright Patman, former Chairman, House Banking and Currency Committee.

Now as to the Federal Income Tax and the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to 1913 there was NO Federal Income Tax. All of the money that the Federal Government needed to operate, was raised through Import and Export Taxes, and through the sale of war and military equipment. When, in 1913, Congress unconstitutionally and illegally ceded their Power to coin Money and regulate the Value thereof, to the Federal Reserve Banking System, this action created a national debt which WE the PEOPLE were then required to pay. This debt came about because the Fed was allowed to create money out of thin air. As collateral, Congress put up the labor and property of each American citizen to meet the newly created national debt. This was the purpose of instituting the Federal Income Tax, with the Internal Revenue Service as the “collection agency” for the Federal Reserve.

NEXT, Congress shall have the POWER

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

Once more, please note that the Constitution states Congress shall have the Power to declare War, not the President. No where, is there any clause that says the President has the RIGHT or the POWER to make an end run around Congress by going to the United Nations to procure a “MANDATE” to go to war. By the same token, there is nothing in the Constitution that gives the President or Congress to place our armed forces under the command of any foreign power and this includes the United Nations. When our sons and daughters enlist or are drafted into the armed forces of the United States, they each step forward and take the oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States. They DO NOT take or swear any oath to defend or protect the constitution, or charter of any foreign nation and/or entity which includes the United Nations. Our military personnel have only ONE duty and obligation and that is defend, protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States and the defense of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic. So why do our politicians insist on telling us that they cannot put our military on our borders to stop all of the illegal immigration because they are NOT trained for that, yet they will send them to foreign countries to protect their borders?

The Congress and the various presidents also use the U.S. Law of Posse Comitatus as a reason for not being able to place our military on our borders. They claim that this law forbids them from using the military to defend our borders. This is NOT TRUE! The law of Posse Comitatus only forbids the Government from using our military as a police force against American citizens.

According to this section of the Constitution, every war that we fought, since the end of World War II, has been Constitutionally ILLEGAL, since each of these wars were fought by the sitting President going to the U.N. to get a “mandate” to go to war instead of allowing Congress to do their Constitutional duty by declaring War.

Section 10:

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

The Constitution stated that only gold and silver was to constitute the currency of the United States. This was violated under President Franklin D. Roosevelt when he outlawed the private ownership of gold. Prior to his administration, all of our paper money stated across the top, either “UNITED STATES SILVER CERTIFICATE” or “UNITED STATES GOLD CERTIFICATE”. This meant that if you had a five dollar “silver certificate”, you could go to any bank in the U.S. and demand and receive five dollars worth of silver. If it was a five dollar “gold certificate” you could demand and receive five dollars worth of gold. There was enough gold and silver in Fort Knox to back up each of the notes that were printed.

Today’s paper money only says across the top: “FERDERAL RESERVE NOTE”, which means that our paper money today is nothing more than an I.O.U. with nothing to back it up. I shall get into more of this in a later posting.

McCain Flips Out Near Senate Floor:

It has often been reported that Sen. John McCain has a hair trigger temper, especially if he is questioned or challenged by his colleagues in the senate. The man has proved those reports to be true.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, launched into a shouting match during a Thursday Capitol Hill meeting, where reportedly the presidential candidate dropped the "F” word and more.

According to reports in both the Washington and New York Posts, Cornyn apparently got under McCain’s skin when he brought up the issue about the number of judicial appeals that illegal immigrants could receive.

McCain accused Cornyn of purposely raising petty objections to a compromise Immigration Bill being hammered out between Senate Republicans and Democrats and the White House. This Bill was sponsored by Sen. Ted Kennedy (D), whom McCain consistently votes with.

"This is chickens--- s%#t," McCain screamed at Cornyn, according to the news reports. "You've always been against this bill, and you're just trying to derail it." I can only surmise that Republicrat McCain feels that all Republicans should march in lock step with him.

Cornyn then accused McCain of being too occupied campaigning for president to take part in the negotiations the way he was supposed to. "Wait a second here," Cornyn said to McCain. "I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line."

McCain retorted by saying: "F%#k you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room."

The shouting match started by McCain is reported to have taken place in front of a bipartisan group of senators and aides who had gathered in the meeting room.

This temper flare may reopen the can-of-worms that is McCain's "anger-management problem."

The truth is McCain, who has missed 42 votes this year, hasn't been intimately involved in the comprehensive immigration reform debate for months. Personally, I don’t like the idea that when our elected senators, want to run for the presidency, should receive their full pay when they are spending more time chasing votes and campaign contributions then they are doing the job for which they were elected.

If McCain is unable to control his temper, does he sound like the kind of man we need in the White House? I think NOT.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Speaks Out Against the Senate Compromise on an Immigration Bill:

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called the Senate compromise on immigration reform a citizenship "giveaway." Gingrich also criticized the federal government's inability to track the illegal immigrants already in the country, who are believed to number 12 million, and quipped that shipping companies would do a better job.

On Thursday, Gingrich was on Sean Hannity's radio program and stated: "I am so much in opposition to this bill that I want to make it very clear: If I were president, I would veto this bill. I think it's that bad. And I would challenge everybody currently running for president to indicate whether they would sign or veto this bill - nothing in between."

"This is a terrible sellout of American security," Gingrich concluded.

Dozens of students at three Sacramento, California area public schools were suspended for taking a stand against a pro-homosexual event – called the “Day of Silence”, that was observed nationwide in April.

In the Sacramento area, some estimated 3,000 to 4,000 students chose to stay home instead of being confronted with the pro-homosexual message on the “Day of Silence”, while nearly 50 students who did attend school that day, wore clothing and distributed literature highlighting the dangers of homosexuality. Some of these students were sent home, some were suspended, and some were ordered to attend “Saturday school.”

According to Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI), “California is like many parts of the country, where school districts and administrators are often very dogmatic when it comes to their liberal agendas.”

Dacus believes that the suspension of the students who chose to counter the homosexual message was a violation of the Constitution of the United States. “The Constitution protects students from being discriminated against simply because the school district doesn’t like what they say or the fact that what they say comes from the Bible.

Dacus says that attorneys for the PJI are working to have the suspensions rescinded. He says if that does not happen, legal action will be taken and this case could possibly end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Another Shafting of the Citizens of the U.S.A

This “Bi-Partisanship” Immigration Bill is a disaster for the United States on a number of levels.

First of all, and this has nothing to do with discrimination but it has all to do with reality, this bill will forever change the face of the United States in as little as ten to fifteen years, in that the majority of the population will be Hispanic. This WILL lead to the demise of the two party political system in the U.S. Why is this? It is a proven fact that the majority of Hispanics vote along socialistic/communistic lines. This will eventually lead to the U.S. becoming a mirror image of Latin America with one revolution or civil war after another, and vast areas of our country being controlled by drug lords. One need only to look at the political history of all the Latin American countries, including Mexico to see what is in store for us.

In the near future, this bill is a disaster in that once the illegals are made “legal” (though not yet citizens) this will make them legally eligible for all of the benefits, such as Social Security, Social Security Supplemental Income, Medicare, etc., all of this at a time that we are being told that Social Security and Medicare are on the verge of bankruptcy.

This bill will do nothing to ease the burden on U.S. taxpayers when it comes to the financial burdens put on our schools and hospitals, nor will it do any thing to stem the flow of illegals into this country. Why, because we know from their track record, that congress will DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to secure the borders, no matter what they say to the opposite, nor will they do anything to fulfill any of the other pre-required mandates before granting legal status to the illegals (remember how they agreed to build the security fence and then they refused to fund it?). It also will do nothing about continuing to grant automatic citizenship to the children born here of illegal immigrants.

This bill also gives the millions of illegal immigrants (once they are made “Legal”) the right to bring in their family members (I don’t mean just their spouses and/or children, but aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, parents, grandparents, etc., in other words, “CHAIN MIGRATION”).

This bill also calls for admitting twenty to thirty million more immigrants over the next ten years. How are we supposed to absorb so many more immigrants? We are told that we need them to fill our “work force”, because we don’t have enough trained people to work in highly skilled areas, especially in the fields of technology, science and medicine. Well, would it not make more sense to give our citizens the training they need to fill these jobs? Why are our colleges and universities spending so much time and money filling our children’s minds with radical socialism instead of training them to fill jobs in the above named fields?

Another problem with this bill is, since so many illegals are receiving all types of “freebies” now from the government, what makes anyone think that they will voluntarily come forward and submit to paying thousands of dollars in back taxes and a $5,000.00 fine, along with the head of the household having to return to their home country and apply for legal entry which our government says will take eight to thirteen years? It isn’t going to happen! Folks, once again we are being taken to cleaners and our beloved country is being sold out right from under us by our elected officials.

Please call, write, fax and email your senators and representatives and let them know that you are against this Immigration Bill. Let them know that we already have immigration laws on the books and those laws NEED to be enforced. Let them also know that it is NOT IMMPOSIBLE to send back the twelve million or more illegals in this country. It can be done. All the government needs to do is STOP the free education for illegals, Stop the free medical/dental care for illegals, Stop the food stamps and low income housing for illegals and STOP granting automatic citizenship to children born here to illegal immigrant parents, and STOP allowing employers, who continue to hire illegals, to get away with doing so. Those who have entered our country illegally and those who entered legally but have overstayed their visas, are criminals. They have broken our laws and showed a complete disrespect for our national sovereignty, therefore they are NOT entitled to, nor should they be given any special entitlements or considerations.

Dear Senator McCain,

Republicans are looking for candidates we can depend on to represent our views on immigration. You are not that candidate.

In 1986, Senator Kennedy said, "[t]his amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this." He lied to us (Which he is rather good at) then and now he is proposing that we make the same mistake we did 20 years ago.

Unlike the "attrition through enforcement" solution, which has been shown to work when implemented, Sen. Kennedy's plan will guarantee that illegal immigration will continue to grow exponentially, as it did after the 1986 amnesty, until we are the strangers in our own country.

This is all clear to the majority of Republican voters, and we have reached out to you on this issue time and time again. You have not listened. I do not want a president who does not listen to the American people, we have had enough of that.

You are no more of a Republican than the Clintons are Conservatives and it is about time that you admit it. America belongs to WE THE PEOPLE, we elect you senators, representatives and the president. You people seem to have forgotten that you work for US; we DO NOT work for you!

When the majority of Americans say we do NOT want any amnesty of any kind for the illegals, WE MEAN IT. When we say that we want our borders secured FIRST, WE MEAN IT. When we say that we want ALL of the illegals (and this includes their children who were born here, because if those children's parents are here illegally then the children should NOT be granted automatic citizenship) sent back to their home countries, so that they can apply for legal entry, WE MEAN IT. When WE THE PEOPLE tell you that we do NOT want illegals to receive free medical/dental care, free education, low income housing, food stamps or any other "freebie" (all at the expense of the American taxpayers) WE MEAN IT. We have nothing against LEGAL immigration, and we RESENT the fact that the MSM and the liberals tag us as being bigots, hate mongers and anti-immigration. We WANT those lies STOPPED!

STOP GIVING OUR COUNTRY AWAY! You elected officials can DEFY the WILL of the people for just so long then if we cannot get you to listen to us, either through the ballot box or through the courts, you WILL push us to the point where you WILL be forced to listen to us at the end of a gun. You people in Washington are forcing us into either a CIVIL or REVOLUTIONARY WAR, and when that day comes, the BLOOD of our nation will be on your heads and your hands, and may God have mercy on your souls.
