SUNDAYS TWO-CENTS WORTH: #34:

On April 10th, I posted a comment over at “Jen’s Journey as a Conservative Chic”, in which I stated the following:

“Jen; Like most bloggers, I do not ban anyone simply because they disagree with something I have posted. I will, however, delete and ban anyone who leaves a scathing comment but will not give their name, and I will ban trolls after a period of time.

Now, sometimes I will make statements concerning liberals, but I may not have stats or other evidence to prove my point, but I am going by what I have personally observed over my life time, and believe me, at 63 years of age, I have observed a lot. Compared to me, you are just a teeny bopper, but I can honestly say that I have watched America decline in so many areas thanks to many of the things that liberals have forced on this nation. If I had the time, I could list a heck of a lot of areas where we have declined and what liberal programs and ideas led to the decline, but to so would take a heck of a long time, so suffice it to say, this isn't your grandfather's America any more.

There are times when I will just get fed up with some commentators when they display utter stupidity and lack of basic knowledge in their comments. I hate to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

But a healthy debate is good as long as the one with whom you are debating is either on or slightly above your intellectual level. So I say bring it on.”

Later, an individual named Thomas (from “The Infidel Express”) made the following comment in regard to my comment:

“I call that a "get off muh lawn" post... devoid of any substantial thought beyond "this is what I've seen in my XX years".

By virtually any measure, life in the United States is vastly better than at any point in the past. A lot of people that lived through the 50's have a nostalgic view of that period, but the human mind has a tendency to hold on to the good memories, and discard the past. That's simply a coping mechanism.

I'm not even saying that there is some Vast Left Wing Conspiracy that is guiding this improvement in our culture. I'm just saying that by whatever means, it is vastly better.”

I will answer Thomas here on my own blog.

Thomas, how are we so much better off, because we have more toys and gadgets? Or is it because everyone is in debt up to their butts? Maybe it is because every one, from married adults to ten, eleven year-olds are free to bed hop from one partner to another?

No my friend, it is not out of nostalgia on which I state that America has gone down hill, I base it on reality, on what actually was, back when people lived in reality and not some drug induced fantasy land fortified by the inane crap on the boob tube.

Back in the 1950’s when I was growing up; children were brought up to respect their parents and all of their elders, especially those in positions of authority, i.e., teachers, police, etc. Back then, children were not disrespectful in school and if they did act up, they would be sent to the principle and more than likely get a butt paddling and when you got home, your parents would open up a can of whup ass on you also, for getting into trouble in school.

When I was growing up, kids didn’t kill each other in our schools, nor were they having sex in school bathrooms, stairwells or in the bushes. Back then, when kids had their friends over, their bedroom was off limits. We had to entertain our friends in the living room or the rec room, and our parents checked on us often.

Back in the 1950’s and 60’s, the schools didn’t teach us about sex, that is what our parents did, and teen pregnancies and STD’s weren’t nearly the problem they are today. With the institution of sex education into our public schools, teenage pregnancies and STD’s have risen dramatically. We were lied to by the liberals all the way back then. When the liberals wanted to have abortion legalized, we were promised that it would only be in the first trimester of the pregnancy and only if the life of the mother was in danger. When those on the right argued that if abortion was legalized the liberals would demand abortion on demand. We were called liars and fear mongers. So what happened, the liberals got their way and proved us right. They have gone so far as to perform partial birth abortions. From that point on, America began to lose respect for life.

When the liberals wanted to institute sex education in the public schools, they promised the conservatives that if any parent didn’t want their kids to take it, all they had to do was write a letter to the principle of their child’s school and their child would be given an alternative class for that period, but in less then two years, the schools made sex education mandatory and if a student didn’t take the course they could not graduate. The parents rights were taken away and what they wanted for their children didn’t matter. So what was the direct result of that? More kids today know more about getting laid then they do about the history of the United States. They are better at giving head then they are at speaking proper English or spelling.

When the liberals fought for gay rights, they said that it was so that gays wouldn’t face discrimination in the work place or in housing. The conservatives fought back saying that just like everything else, we would be entering on a slippery slope, because the gays would demand even more, leading to same-sex marriages. Again, we called liars, fear mongers and homophobes, but who really turned out to be the liars? Today, decent people are being forced to accept a vile, filthy and unnatural life-style that is being crammed down our throats in our schools, on TV, in movies and by the news media, and if we dare speak out against it, we could have our free speech rights trampled on by being accused of hate speech.

Fifty to sixty years ago, the United States was number one in education. Today our education system stinks to high heaven and we are far from being number one. Students are beating the hell out of their teachers or each other, so that they can post these vicious acts on the internet for all to see. Teachers, both male and female, are rapping our children. Students are bringing guns to school and blowing each other away, while liberal teachers and college professors’ brain wash our children into accepting homosexuality and every other kind of perversion as some kind of lofty life-style.

Fifty to sixty years ago, the United States was number one in agriculture. We were called the breadbasket of the world. What have we got today? One farmer after another losing their farms and we are importing more then we are producing and most of the food we import has to be recalled because of contamination. We didn’t have that when I was growing up, fresh fruits and vegetables were safe to eat and when you bit into ripe peach or plum, they soft and juicy. Today, you buy what looks like a ripe fruit and it looks ripe on the outside, but the inside is rock hard and a brownish color. The only time today that I am able to get honest to goodness fresh fruits and vegetables and not having to worry if they are contaminated with ecoli, is when I go to a local farmer’s market.

Fifty to sixty years ago, the United States was number one in manufacturing. We had great companies, such as Kodak, Xerox, Ritter Phuadler Dental Equipment Company, R.F. Communications that manufactured Two-way radios for police, fire, ambulance, taxi companies, etc. In the city where I grew up, we had seventeen clothing manufacturers, a button manufacturing company, thirty Tool and Die companies, sixteen printing companies. We had a company that manufactured office furniture, a company that manufactured envelopes; we had the Fasco Fan Company, several book binders, etc. Today, this city is a shadow of its former self. All across the United States we have and are continuing to lose our best manufacturing jobs, thanks to globalism and free trade. Free Trade now means that we export our jobs to foreign countries and what we import is s%#t that is contaminated or has to be re-called because it is dangerous to our children, our pets and to ourselves. And for what? Just so that CEO’s and stock holders can make a profit, while the real backbone of America, the American worker, loses their jobs and gets kicked in the ass by the very people we elect to represent us and run our country.

Today, our country is being overrun by illegal immigrants, because the liberals want open borders for all, and what is the result of that? They are rapping our wives, our sisters, our mothers and our daughters. They are killing our police and border agents. They are driving around illegally and many times drunk, killing our children on our streets. They are placing a heavy tax burden on our citizens who have to pay for the free medical and dental care, the free education, the food stamps and the low-income housing that the liberals and our government tells us the illegals are “entitled to”, and to pay the incarceration costs to keep their sorry asses in jail, if and when they are caught. While we are losing our good paying jobs to third world countries, thanks to free trade, we are losing whatever low paying jobs we have left to illegal immigrants.

Today, we have a country whose morals are so far down the crapper that it just isn’t funny any more. We have a society that is so disrespectful and impolite and it shows in the work place, our schools and even our halls of congress. We have people elected to various high State and Federal offices who lie, cheat and steal. We have homosexual pedophiles, alcoholics who drive their cars into ponds and leave the young woman they were cheating on their wives with, in the car to drown while they swim to shore, went home to bed, and then didn’t even report the accident until the next day and he got off scott free, and this is what gets elected to run this country. The liberals even elected a man who couldn’t keep his pants up to be president. We have a country where people are so hedonistic, caring only for themselves and their bodily pleasures and how they look; make it longer, make it harder, pump the silicon so my boobs are bigger. My butt isn’t big enough so I have low self-esteem. Then, as if this isn’t bad enough, nobody has to take responsibility for any thing they do, it is always someone else’s fault. Tell me Thomas, where am I lacking in substantial thought? Exactly what has America got today that makes every thing so much better then it was 50 or 60 years ago, besides all of the technological gadgets? Or, is it the freedom to be as deranged, immoral and decadent as you wish. If this is so much better then my America of fifty years ago, you are welcome to it, but don’t be surprised if a revolution or a civil war breaks out when the conservatives have finally had enough of your liberal garbage.

MUNCHKIN'S SATURDAY CORNER - #53

A Carrot, An Egg, And a Cup of Coffee:

After reading this, you will never look at a Carrot, an Egg or a cup of Coffee the same way again.

A young lady ran to her mother complaining how hard her life was and how she didn’t know how she was going to make it, and how she just wanted to give up. She said she was tired of fighting and struggling and having to face one problem after another.

Without saying a word, her mother took her into the kitchen, where she filled three pots with water and placed them on the stove and turned the flame up to high under each of them. Soon the pots came to a full boil. Into the first pot, the mother placed some carrots, in the second she placed some eggs, and into the last pot, she placed some ground coffee. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.

After about twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She spooned out the carrots and placed them in a bowl. Next she removed the eggs from their pot and placed them in a bowl. Then she carefully poured some of the coffee into a third bowl. Turning to her daughter she asked, “Tell me what you see.”

“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” the daughter replied.

Her mother motioned for her daughter to come closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then told her daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, the daughter found that the egg was hard-boiled. Finally, the mother asked her daughter to sip the coffee. Her daughter smiled as she smelled its wonderful aroma and tasted its rich flavor. Then the daughter asked her mother, “What does this all mean, mama?”

Her mother explained that each had faced the exact same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The Carrot went in strong and hard and unrelenting, but after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The Egg which was fragile with a thin shell to protect its liquid interior, after having been subjected to the boiling water, had its inside hardened. The ground Coffee was unique however, instead of the boiling water affecting it, it changed the water. “Which are you?” she asked her daughter. “When adversity comes knocking at your door, how do you respond? Are you a Carrot,

an Egg, or ground Coffee?”

“Which are you?” she asked, “Are you a carrot that seems strong, but wilts and becomes soft under adversity, or are you an egg who starts with a soft malleable heart that becomes hardened and stiff in the face of adversity, or are you like the ground coffee that actually changes the very circumstances that brings about pain and adversity?”

My wish for you is:

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can’t go forward until you let go of past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that at the end, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

FREAKY DEAKY FRIDAY - #F8

Somebody is lying and the American people had better find out the truth before it is too late.

In March of 2007, Ryan Lizza, the Senior editor at the New Republic, wrote a biographical piece about Jeremiah Wright, Barak Obama’s mentor and spiritual advisor, and in the article, Lizza explicitly and clearly states that Wright is a “former” Muslim.

So, doesn’t it seem rather curious that it has never been mentioned by the various news media, that Jeremiah Wright is a “former” Muslim. Why haven’t we been informed that Holy Trinity Church, Barak Obama’s church for twenty years, the church which Jeremiah Wright pastured for those same twenty years, posted a Hamas manifesto in the church program last year?

Now, stop and consider the following: It is a well known fact that according to Islamic law, if a Muslim becomes an apostate and converts to Christianity (or any other religion) that is an act that calls for the death penalty, with this in mind, if Jeremiah Wright was truly a Christian, then why would Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam in the U.S., be receiving awards from Wright and why would they have such a close relationship? Does this also explain why Wright got his Masters degree in “Islam in West Africa”? By the same token, if Barak Obama is a devout Christian as he professes, then how come his campaign is being supported by Muslims here in America? Could this also explain why Obama refuses to wear an American flag lapel pin or to place his hand over his heard during the pledge? Think about it.

Now I am beginning to wonder just where Barak is raising all of his campaign money from. Could it possibly be that there may be some money pouring in from the Middle East? Before anyone starts jumping all over me, I am not accusing Barak of receiving campaign funds from Islamist terror groups, I am just wondering.

I have lifted the following two points from my good friend, the “Local Malcontent”:

Point #1: Pastor Wright rails against America just like a fanatical Muslim does, and he never seems to mention Jesus Christ in any of his sermons, as a Christian pastor would do.

Point #2: And isn’t the punishment for abandoning Islam for another religion death? Perhaps not, when the goal is to elect a lying, junior Senator to the White House.

This brings us to the Islamic practice of taqiyya, the Islamic doctrine of deception. This practice is sanctioned in the Qur’an itself. Muslims are permitted to lie to and deceive non-Muslims in any and all negotiations if the lie or deception will benefit Islam.

Chicano Pride or La Raza Terrorism?

WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST

This whole illegal immigration mess is getting totally out of hand and it is about time that our voice is heard and our demands met. Why is it that those who are demanding amnesty for illegals, those setting up “sanctuary” cities for illegals, and those demanding open borders, get their voices heard even though they are in the minority? Why is it that the majority has to always bow to the whims and wishes of the minority in everything in this country when we are supposed to be majority rule? This is NOT right and it is not fair, and to tell you the truth, I have my doubts that it is even constitutional.

I say that it is about time that we, on the right, start to stand up, get loud and in your face like those on the left. We are getting no where by being nice. We are getting no where by being meek. Our country is being systematically brought down and destroyed by the liberals and I defy them to show me where I am wrong. They have an agenda to turn America into a socialistic/communistic nanny state and the only way they can achieve this is to get more votes on their side. The way they are doing this is by demanding amnesty for illegals and they want more and more uneducated and low educated immigrants to come into the country, because they know that these immigrants will require all kinds of assistance which the liberals are more than happy to give them at the tax payer’s expense, knowing that in return, the immigrants will vote Democrat.

If those on the right dare to speak out against illegal immigration, we are labeled xenophobes; if we speak out against immoral gay life-styles we are labeled homophobes. If we speak out against the special rights and treatments being given to Muslims in our schools and work places, we are called intolerant of other religions, even though Christians and other religions are not permitted the same rights and privileges that the Muslims are getting.

Our schools will have gay pride day celebrations and make our kids come to school dressed as the opposite sex, but don’t you dare try to have a Christian pride day or a Jewish pride day.

Congress keeps sticking it to those of us on the right, on a daily basis; even those who claim to be conservative are showing their disdain for Conservatives. When we speak out for secure borders, they tell us how they hear our voice and they pass legislation to secure the borders and the President signs it into law, then after we think we have won and return to our daily lives, congress turns around and secretly votes to withhold the funds needed to secure the borders. This has got to STOP. If the liberals can get their way every time they stage marches, demonstrations and protests, can you imagine what we could accomplish if the Conservatives rose up and got just as loud, just as in your face as the liberals? There are more of us then there are of them, so just think of the impact we could have if we marched in mass on Washington, D.C. FOLKS, IT IS TIME THAT WE STOPPED BEING NICE!

MORE CLINTON DIRT RISES TO THE SURFACE:

Why has this stuff been kept from the public and will making it known now make any difference?

Hillary Clinton was FIRED from the House Judiciary Committee for unethical behavior as she helped to prepare articles of impeachment against President Richard M. Nixon in 1974. This was confirmed by the panel’s chief Republican counsel, Franklin Polk.

Polk backed up major claims made by Jerry Zeifman, the, the general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee who supervised Hillary’s work on the Watergate investigation in 1974. In an report filed by columnist Dan Calabrese and published by World Net Daily, Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, called Hillary Clinton “a liar” and “and an unethical, dishonest lawyer.”

Zeifman contends that Hillary was collaborating with allies of the Kennedy family to block revelations of the Kennedy administration activities that made Watergate “look like a day at the beach.” Zeifman says that Hillary’s legal brief, “was so fraudulent and ridiculous, that she would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge.”

Franklin Polk confirmed Hillary wrote a brief arguing President Nixon should not be allowed legal counsel due to lack of precedent. However, Hillary deliberately ignored the then-recent case of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, who was allowed to have a lawyer during the impeachment attempt against him in 1970.

To make matters worse, Zeifman claims Clinton bolstered her fraudulent brief by removing all of the Douglas files from public access and storing them at her office, enabling her to argue as if the case never existed (kind of reminds one of the Rose Law firm Whitewater papers that turned up missing when Hillary was First Lady, and after denials on her part, of having any knowledge of them, then they suddenly appear on a table outside her White House office with her fingerprints all over them. And let us not forget all of the missing papers and files from Vince Foster’s office after he supposedly “committed suicide”).

A tiger does not change its spots. It seems that once a liar and a sneak, always a liar and a sneak. Columnist Dan Calabrese says that looking back on the case amid Hillary’s fierce battle with Barak Obama for the presidential nomination, he sees a picture emerging “of a very ambitious young lawyer who was eager to please her political patrons, and was willing to mislead and undermine established committee staff and senior committee members in order to do so.”

Calabrese also said that Zeifman has been trying to tell this story for many years, and the MSM has totally ignored him.

So here you have it, more evidence of how dishonest and corrupt Hillary is so what will America do, possibly elect her president?

“545 People” by Charlie Reese

A poignant, trenchant and pungently accurate article:

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we still have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we still have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal Budget, the U.S. President does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, The Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million – are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress illegally delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I have also excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no legal ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing.

It makes no difference to me if they offer a politician one million dollars I cash, it is the politician who ultimately has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They co-operate in this common con / scam regardless of political party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.

No normal human being would have the gall of Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget; he cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.

Who is the Speaker of the House? He/She is the leader of the majority political party. He/She, along with fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million citizens cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted—by present facts—of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the Federal Government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the military is in Iraq or any where else, it's because they want them there. There is no such thing as an insoluble government problem. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation" or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible. They and they alone, have the power. They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of Office and clean up their mess!

Charlton Heston: “Moses has passed away”

May his memory remain eternal.

Charlton Heston was born John Charles Carter in Evanston, Illinois on October 4, 1923 (or 1924)

In 1944, Heston enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces. He served for two years as a B-25 radio operator/gunner stationed in the Alaskan Aleutian Islands with the Eleventh Air Force, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Also in 1944, Heston married Northwestern student Lydia Marie Clarke.

After the war, the two lived in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, where they worked as models. They have a son, Fraser Clarke Heston and an adopted daughter, Holly Ann Heston. Seeking a way to make it in theater, Heston and his wife Lydia decided to manage a playhouse in Ashville, North Carolina, in 1947. In 1948, they went back to New York where Heston was offered a supporting role in a Broadway revival of Shakespeare'sAntony and Cleopatra, starring Katharine Cornell. Heston had success in television, playing a number of roles in CBS's Studio One, one of the most popular anthology dramas of the 1950s. Heston became an icon for portraying Moses in The Ten Commandments. In 1959, Heston accepted the role of Ben Hur, going on to win the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Heston became deeply involved in politics, beginning around 1956, at which time he was Democrat. In the 1980’s he switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. Heston opposed abortion and gave the introduction to a 1987 pro-life documentary by Bernard Nathanson called Eclipse of Reason which focuses on late-term abortions. Heston served on the Advisory Board of Accuracy in Media, a conservative media watchdog group founded by Reed Irvin.

In an address to students at Harvard Law School entitled Winning the Cultural War, Heston said, "If Americans believed in political correctness, we'd still be King George’s boys - subjects bound to the British crown." He went on to say that white pride is just as valid as black pride or red pride or anyone else's pride. He later stated, "Political correctness is tyranny with manners."

In August 2002, Heston publicly announced he was diagnosed with symptoms consistent with Alzheimer’s disease. In March 2005, various newspapers reported family and friends were apparently shocked by the rapid progression of his illness, and he was sometimes unable to get out of bed. Heston died on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his home in Beverly Hills, California, with Lydia, his wife of 64 years, by his side. He was 84. The cause of death is currently unknown.
