Sen. Frederica Wilson, a Dumbocrat Florida state legislator who represents a district that is home to thousands of Caribbean immigrants, wants to put a stop to illegal aliens – no, not undocumented immigrants, but the use of the term "illegal alien” in official state documents. "I personally find the word ‘alien’ offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children. An alien to me is someone from out of [sic] space”, she said. She has introduced a bill that would bar a state agency or official from using the term.
Hey Ms. Wilson, I got news for you! “Putting gravy on poop doesn’t make it Swedish Meatballs”, it’s still POOP!
Democrats Pushing for 'Gays in the Military'
Rep. Marty Meehan, a Massachusetts Dumbocrat, plans to re-introduce a bill repealing the congressional ban on homosexuals serving in the military. Meehan's Military Readiness Enhancement Act died last year in the Republican-controlled Congress. But with Democrats in charge, Meehan is more optimistic about passing the bill.
Meehan's bill would require the U.S. Armed Forces to adopt a policy of nondiscrimination based on sexual orientation - allowing homosexuals to openly serve in the military, something they cannot do now. Three turn-coat Republicans have signed on, including Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of
Opposition to homosexuals serving in the military remains strong in conservative quarters.
Now that I think about it, perhaps it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to put gays and lesbians in the military, but only under the following conditions.
First; they MUST be in a platoon of their own, NOT integrated with the straight Troops. They can call it the Pansy Brigade.
Second; they should wear a distinctive uniform, perhaps a nice lavender.
Third; they should be the first ones sent to the front lines. That should get them out of our hair here back home.
